Taranaki Futures ITO Consortium.

Taranaki Futures runs a Consortium of local ITOs to support the pathways from education to trade careers. Industry Training Organisations (ITO’s) do an essential job of:

• setting national skill standards for their industry

• providing information and advice to trainees and their employers

• arranging for the delivery of training

• assessing trainees

• monitoring the quality of training.

With the Governments announcement of the Review of Vocational Education the role of ITOs is set to change.

What is involved in being a consortium member

The consortium meets around twice per year to talk about collaboration opportunities, and how to continue to promote the education to employment pathway for the trades sector.
